Exploring the Yucatan peninsula is best done by rental car. It's safe and with a good map and directions it's pretty easy to get around. On arrival in Cancun or Mexico City, our Easy Going Starter Packages will ensure your trip gets off to an easy start: you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel where you will stay for one or two nights. In Playa del Carmen you'll be staying for two nights so you can relax and recover from the flight and the inevitable jetlag, but if you're raring to go, you can spend one night in Cancun instead and start your trip the next day.

Mexico accommodation
We also offer hotels and transport in and around other cities. We were surprised by the large number of small-scale accommodation (usually with pool) Mexico has to offer; jungle lodges, haciendas, colonial villas, chalets and casitas on the Caribbean. Most have a little balcony, a veranda or a porch with a hammock. After all, in the tropics you'll want to spend most of the time outdoors.
